Ismail Odetokun is presently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine and the Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He mentors both graduate and undergraduate students in Veterinary Public Health. Though he is an early-career academic researcher, he is highly motivated to conduct research in Food safety, Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Antimicrobial Resistance and One Health. He has several publications in reputable local and international journals to his credit. Ismail has received numerous national and international scholarships and awards as a student. He currently works at his university, where he participates in several committees in an administrative capacity. Additionally, he belongs to numerous academic and professional organizations. He is a member of the Nigerian Young Academy. He is on the editorial board of some reputable national and international journals. He has plans to develop strong collaborative networks as he hopes to be a desired next-generation expert on food safety, AMR, and One Health.
